Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Paradise Valley High School is proud to offer a wide variety of Honors and Advanced Placement courses for students. Honors classes offer students a more rigorous educational experience and work to prepare them for Advanced Placement instruction. Through Advanced Placement courses, students have the ability to earn college credit by taking the Advanced Placement (AP) College Board Exam for the course at the end of the school year. Placement in these classes is by teacher approval upon registration. Refer to the Paradise Valley High School Course Catalog for course offerings.
Paradise Valley High School offers a variety of dual enrollment courses which are completed on our high school campus. After the student completes the necessary criteria to enroll in the dual enrollment course, they will receive both high school credit and college credit for the same course once the student completes the course. For example, a student who takes AP Calculus AB at PVHS, and also completes all the necessary dual enrollment criteria, will receive high school math credit and 4 college credits for MAT221 for the same course.
