Our teachers and staff truly have the best interests of the students at the forefront of all they do. In education, academics are clearly the priority. Knowing that academic gains increase exponentially when we work together to create an environment that fosters positive social and emotional growth, we are very anxious to share with you our progress with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This year, we have new posters and banners displaying common behavioral expectations for each area across campus (hallways, classrooms, cafeteria, playground, etc.). Expectations are phrased in positive language and posted clearly for each separate area. When classes began, each class took a tour of all areas of campus to learn about expectations, with the goal of setting students up for success from the start. A team of staff members will also be attending several trainings throughout the school year to bring back practices to support our staff in the continued infusion of PBIS.
