  • NCHS Business & Education Partnership

    New NC Logo.png

In the spring of 2014, we formed a Business and Education Partnership to provide opportunities to NCHS students.  Local business leaders are interested in working with our students to strengthen the school-to-work connection, as well as to provide career awareness opportunities.

  • Available options:

    • Job shadowing - NCHS students can choose to spend a few hours or an entire day with one of our business leaders.  Students need a special permission slip in order to participate in this activity.

    • Mentoring - NCHS students can choose to establish a mentoring relationship with one of our business leaders.  This could be through email, telephone, or job shadowing.  Business leaders have offered to provide career guidance for our students.

    • Internship - NCHS students can choose to commit to a long-term internship opportunity.  It is the responsibility of the student to make these arrangements. Special PVUSD documents must be signed by the business leader, student and parents.

    • Guest speakers - Advisory members and their colleagues are available to visit our classrooms to speak about business and related topics.  This allows students to visualize the school to work connection.
