Dear Whispering Wind Academy students, parents, staff, and community,
I am so happy to be joining your Eagle family this upcoming year as your new Assistant Principal. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and creating strong relationships that support our students.
My entire professional career has been spent in paradise, here in PVSchools. I joined PVSchools in 2007 and have spent the last 11 years working at Palomino Primary, Cactus View, and Community Education. I have had experience with all K-12 grade levels, but my main focus has been in the elementary grades. Most recently, I was the TOA/Curriculum Writer and Mentor Teacher for Community Education where I created project-based programming for teachers spanning our district. I am currently working on the Arizona Department of Education’s state committee developing the soon-to-be adopted AZ Science Standards. I have also served on Science Foundation Arizona’s statewide STEM Committee and as a founding member of PVWIT (Paradise Valley Women & Informational Technology).
I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and my master's degree in Educational Leadership from NAU.
As a mother to Charlotte (4 years old), I truly understand that your children are the most important part of you. My most memorable 'mommy moments' are when she accomplishes something new, makes a new and creative connection in her world, and when I see her character and self-awareness growing before my eyes. We want nothing but the best for our children. I look forward to developing a meaningful relationship with you and your child and achieving things we never thought possible. We are on this wonderful journey together.
I am truly honored to be serving our community. It is going to be an amazing year!
