School Strategies

  1. Teachers will continue to strengthen their Core Knowledge lessons through teacher collaboration and professional development

  2. Teachers will be trained and implement Number Talks in their classrooms

  3. Staff will attend Wonders training to support their implementation of the reading adoption

  4. Staff will increase their engagement & assessment strategies through professional development

  5. Staff will strengthen their teaching practices by using the online professional development resource, PD In Focus

School Strategies

Grade levels and special areas will continue to develop their Core Knowledge scope and sequence curriculum maps and projects for science and social studies Grade levels will take field trips to expand on the lessons taught at school Virtual Reality goggles will be used to add depth.

  • Schools/Departments will document the authentic/real world learning experiences available to every student.  

  • A usage audit will be completed on district adopted curricula.

  • Provide a rigorous Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) through focused professional development, effective differentiated instruction, and strategic assessments.

School Strategies

  1. Teachers will use district’s Math Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum map to guide classroom instruction

  2. Teachers will provide focused instruction by placing students into flexible groups according to their specific academic needs

  3. Staff will use common formative assessments to make data driven decisions on reteaching and enrichment
