PVOnline Programs

K-5 Program

PVOnline has partnered with Edgenuity, a Web-based curriculum, to enhance your child’s educational experience. Students in grades K-5 will be assigned a PVUSD teacher that will monitor students’ progress, be available for academic support, and communicate with students and parents. Courses in K-5 are provided in all core areas including ELA (i.e., reading/writing), math, science, and social studies. Health and P.E. are also available.

As a parent, you will be assuming the role of the Learning Coach that facilitates and supports your child through his or her courses. The role of the Learning Coach is to:

  • Guide the student through the lessons.

  • Discuss the concepts being taught.

  • Assist with interactive tools and games.

  • Oversee assignments.

  • Help facilitate hands-on learning that may be in the course.

  • Check for understanding of assignments.

  • Keep the students on schedule.

  • Ensure all components of the course are being done with fidelity (independent reading, novel studies, practice activities, etc.).

  • Communicate with the teacher.

6-8 Program

PVOnline has partnered with Edgenuity, a Web-based curriculum, to enhance your child’s educational experience.  Students in grades 6 - 8 will be assigned a PVUSD teacher for each course that will monitor students’ progress, be available for academic support, and communicate with students and parents. Courses are provided in all core areas including ELA (i.e., reading/writing), math, science, and social studies. Based on grade level, P.E., Online Digital Learning, Strategies for Academic Success, and Spanish are also available.

As a parent, you will be assuming the role of the Learning Coach that facilitates and supports your child through his or her courses. The role of the Learning Coach is to:

9-12 Program

PVOnline High School program serves all 9th grade-12th grade students enrolled in PVSchools. Students in PVSchools may take single courses in conjunction with enrollment at one of the high schools serving the Paradise Valley community. Students may elect to be full-time PVOnline students with the flexibility of working on coursework on their own time Monday through Sunday while maintaining progress in all courses. Students can choose from 115 courses offered with PVOnline to complete their educational requirements. Personalized learning combined with the flexibility to engage in learning anywhere and anytime make our PVOnline 9-12 program students successful.

Course options include all core courses required for graduation as well as some unique courses including dual enrollment, AP courses, Survey of Popular Music, Rise of Electronic Music, and Fitness Power. PVSchools teachers monitor courses and are available for assistance with coursework, and communicate with parents and students regarding progress.
