For students needing extra support to be successful in their classes, we encourage them to first talk with their teacher. Other options to support their academic are listed below.
The National Honor Society offers FREE peer tutoring in the ITC. This is a first-come, first-served drop-in program for students who need minimal assistance.
Monday through Thursday, from 6:45 am –7:25 am and 2:15 pm -3:00 pm.

Free Resources for Online Student Tutoring
PVSchools is offering Free Resources for Online Student Tutoring (FROST) to all students in the district who may need this valuable service. FROST is a student-driven, tutoring program that creates a casual, easy to use learning environment for students who need extra assistance with their academic subjects. At PVSchools, our qualified high school students will be available to provide tutoring in any subject matter for any student, Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Students can ask questions in our new FROST Google Classroom. Tutors are available Monday through Thursday (except holidays) from 4-6 pm and 7-9 pm.
Pinnacle's Credit Recovery Program is currently designed for Juniors and Seniors who have been identified as missing or short the credits necessary for graduation. In addition to a normal course load, students are enrolled in one (1) PVOnline Course (worth a .5 credit) to assist in credit recovery. Students are also required to attend a one (1) hour on campus computer lab class after school from 2:15 - 3:15 pm, 3 times per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) to receive an additional .5 credit and complete their online class. The Classes will be held in Room F-201. This program will allow students to earn an additional 1 credit per semester in conjunction with the 3 credits they already earn each semester.
After School PVOnline Course (credit and/or grade recovery)
Students are allowed to take an online course after school through PVOnline at home (off campus). These courses can be used to make up missing credits for graduation or to earn a better grade in a course. These online courses are free to juniors and seniors (cost to freshmen and sophomores is $199.00 per course). Students are only allowed to take one (1) PVOnline Course per semester off campus and will earn a .5 credit. These courses can only be taken through PVOnline.
Sweetwater High School (credit and/or grade recovery)
Sweetwater High School offers 2 sessions of Night School Courses each quarter Monday - Thursday. The sessions are from 5:00-6:15 pm and 6:23-7:40 pm.
