Mountain Trail is a highly academic school that provides a rich and rigorous curriculum for all students. Students are academically challenged in all classes and given an opportunity to expand on their knowledge while developing 21st century skills. Students are provided many choices as to extra-curricular activities.
After school programs provide an excellent way for students to get involved in clubs, athletics and student leadership organizations. These programs are a great way for students to meet friends while pursuing their own interests. We encourage all students to get involved in campus activities. Middle school is a unique time in the life of a student, and we want you to know that the staff and administration at Mountain Trail are dedicated to making the transition from elementary to middle school safe and rewarding.
Mrs. Katy Clark - Principal
Welcome to Mountain Trail Middle School. It is my pleasure to serve as your Principal. My role on campus is to assist students, parents, and teachers in making each student’s time in middle school safe, fun, and a great learning experience.
I am originally from a suburb of Chicago and, after going to college in Wisconsin, decided to make a move west for better weather. My husband and I moved to Arizona after living at the beach for awhile, and that is when I started working for PVUSD. I have worked at both high schools that Mountain Trail students typically attend: North Canyon High School as a biology teacher, an AVID elective teacher, Science IDL, IB Coordinator and coach and Pinnacle High School as the Dean of Students.
In my free time, you'll find me hanging out with my two boys playing sports, reading, or learning about my next DIY project on Pinterest. I love to hear from parents and students alike and welcome you to reach out to me via email or at the school's main number (602) 449-4600.
