Adding additional Inclusion support for special education students in mainstream classrooms.
Counselor and administrators will create Interventions based on reports at progress and quarter using IC for students that have earned multiple Fs. Students will meet with counselor and admin to develop action plan for improvement.
Educate and train all staff members on restorative practices (via district offerings, team discussions
Create procedures to eliminate barriers so that all students can participate and experience success in high quality curricular and extracurricular programs.
School and teacher websites updated frequently (provide time and training to update)
Ensuring IC is updated every 2 weeks at a minimum and use assignment description feature so parents and students have clearer understanding of expectations. Using IC School Messenger feature to inform parents/guardians and students of upcoming assignments and information so students meet ‘pass to play’ requirement.
Using daily student announcements, weekly updates to staff; bi-monthly newsletters with community; usage of new marquee to share information with the community.
Providing scholarship opportunities for students to participate in 9th hour and other clubs and activities
To develop cultural competence within PVSchools that results in equity for students.
Focusing on develop communication skills between all stakeholders and implement new programs to educate staff and students about mindful conversations with one another.
Mentoring period will have different lesson plans each week and will be adjusted on an as-needed basis.
Open and thoughtful written and verbal communication amongst staff and between staff and families. Share new Family Survival Guide with community (includes great information/easily accessible)
Including information in weekly staff emails about self- reflection and restorative practices. Working with teachers and support staff to help them develop tools to build relationships with all of our students.
