Learning Goal Objectives

Provide a framework of professional learning designed by stakeholders to achieve organizational excellence.

Learning Goal #1 Metrics:

  • All schools will collaboratively develop a professional learning plan.

Develop various pathways and procedures to enable each student to have access to authentic, real-world learning experiences across the curriculum and grade span.

  • Schools/Departments will document the authentic/real world learning experiences available to every student. 
  • A usage audit will be completed on district adopted curricula.

Provide a rigorous Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) through focused professional development, effective differentiated instruction, and strategic assessments.

  • Schools will implement the GVC Framework in developed areas.
  • Collect usage data of benchmark assessments.
  • Gather a list of offerings associated with GVC.

Develop relationships that support and foster social, emotional, and academic needs to ensure individual student success.

School / Department Strategies

  • Keep conversations respectful and professional (eliminate sarcasm)
  • Positive welcome for students each class period (stand by door to greet, welcome individuals to class, welcome class as a whole)
  • Handout PBIS tickets to match matrix (10x a week)
  • When handing out PBIS tickets match/recognize the verbal message to the matrix
  • Make personal connections with students. Find out what they like, in what school activities they participate, something you can use as a connection.  Note it on the seating chart, in your plan book, etc.  Refer to it regularly.
  • Establish equity committee to identify needs and develop plans to address identified issues.

Create procedures to eliminate barriers so that all students can participate and experience success in high quality curricular and extracurricular programs.
