Physical Education at Fireside
At Fireside, Physical Education is part of our five-day Special Area rotation. Our curriculum is based on the state standards and follows the principles of Fitness for Life. The curriculum also includes various sports, movement, and activities that incorporate all areas of physical fitness.
We also offer a walking/running program two days a week during the lunch recess called the “Grand Canyon Trekkers.” Participation in this program is completely optional.
Recommended Dress Code
Our Mustangs are encouraged to dress appropriately for activity, which includes proper tennis shoes and clothing, which enable students to participate fully. If students are outside, a hat is also recommended.
The goal of Physical Education at Fireside is to engage the children every time they attend P.E. and to adopt good habits for a healthy lifestyle.
