Echo Mountain Primary School, we use data derived from students to develop instruction that will best meet the learning goals of each individual student. Teachers meet regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to discuss ways to measure student growth and to learn how to enhance their own instructional practices. Teachers also meet in Response to Intervention (RT) Data Chats to monitor the progress of each student and determine the level of intervention necessary for student success.
Our instruction is based on the standards set forth in the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. The focus is to prepare students to be creative thinkers in the 21st century school and work environment. This includes instruction in all areas of traditional literacy (reading, writing, speaking, listening), as well as the emerging field of digital literacy.

At Echo Mountain, we believe that technology is to be integrated in the classroom, as well as taught as a specialty subject. Students in Grades K-1 have access to classroom mini-labs of iPads, while Grades 2-3 have mini-labs of Google Chromebooks.
Students also attend regularly schedule classes in both Media and Technology to ground them in the use of Media and Technology as a tool for their future career success.
Infinite Campus (IC) is the PVUSD online portal that allows students and parents access to important student data, including accessing student grades. Infinite Campus is an important tool for effective parent communication. IC can be used on any computer with internet connectivity. Please watch the video below to learn more about IC.
