  • All schools will collaboratively develop a professional learning plan.

School Strategies

  • Teachers will become competent and confident in utilizing the new ELA Wonders adoption. 
  • Teachers will receive professional development to learn how to better analyze student data and use the information to drive their instruction during the Professional Learning Community process. 
  • The 5th and 6th grade teachers will participate in Summit Learning trainings, conferences and coaching sessions and learn to use the program with fidelity.
  • Develop various pathways and procedures to enable each student to have access to have  authentic, real-world learning experiences across the curriculum and grade span.

Learning Goal #2 Metrics:

  • Schools/Departments will document the authentic/real world learning experiences available to every student.  
  • A usage audit will be completed on district adopted curricula.
  • Measure student enrollment in courses/programs characterized by the application of skills.

School Strategies

  • Provide assistance to students with academic needs in reading during daily SOAR (Second Opportunity to Achieve in Reading) time.
  • The students will participate in a school wide Innovation Day.
  • Create a buddy system for classrooms to provide academic and social emotional support.
  • Provide a rigorous Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) through focused professional development, effective differentiated instruction, and strategic assessments.

Learning Goal #3 Metrics:

  • Schools will implement the GVC Framework in developed areas.
  • Collect usage data of benchmark assessments.
  • Gather a list of offerings associated with GVC.
  • TES measurement of differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Parent Satisfaction Survey

School Strategies

  • Implement the Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) plan with fidelity.
  • Continue to implement number talks and consensus boards and provide training to new staff members.   
  • Analyze weekly ST Math data and use the information to support student growth and learning through individualized instruction during math lab time.
  • Students take quarterly Star tests and set Accelerated Reader goals.
