Learning Goal #1 Metrics:

  • All schools will collaboratively develop a professional learning plan
  • Standards Assessment Inventory (SAI)

School/Department Strategies

  • Teachers will participate in the Professional Learning Community process to analyze data and plan interventions for struggling students
  • Teachers will receive professional development through site and district inservices, district and teacher selected trainings, and Summit conferences and convenings

Learning Goal Objective 2

Develop various pathways and procedures to enable each student to have access to authentic, real-world learning experiences across the curriculum and grade span.

Learning Goal #2 Metrics:

  • Schools/Departments will document the authentic/real world learning experiences available to every student
  • A usage audit will be completed on district adopted curricula
  • Measure student enrollment in courses/programs characterized by the application of skills
  • Speak-Up Survey
  • Parent Satisfaction Survey

School/Department Strategies

  • Utilize project based learning format and personalized learning approaches such as Summit, Number Talks/Rich mathematical problem solving, Foss Kits, and field trips
  • Implement school-wide events related to special areas (Art, PE, STEM, Music, Band/Strings) that expand beyond the classroom
  • Implement monthly Junior Achievement and Art Masterpiece classes taught by parents and community members providing real world experiences to every class across each grade level

Provide a rigorous Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) through focused professional development, effective differentiated instruction, and strategic assessments.

Learning Goal #3 Metrics:

  • Schools will implement the GVC Framework in developed areas
  • Collect usage data of benchmark assessments
  • Gather a list of offerings associated with GVC
  • TES measurement of differentiated instructional strategies
  • Parent Satisfaction Survey

  • Implement the Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) plan with fidelity at all grade levels
  • Support the implementation of district adopted ELA curriculum
