I am honored to serve as the Principal of Desert Trails Elementary School! Our school is made up of dynamic staff, dedicated parents, involved community members, and students who share in the relentless pursuit of developing World-Class Thinkers. Desert Trails has an outstanding reputation when it comes to providing students with a high quality education. I look forward to working with you in order to ensure that our children meet their academic, emotional, and social goals. Welcome to Desert Trails!
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I am a proud product of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. My teaching career started in 2000 at Indian Bend Elementary School, where I taught 6th grade. Since then, I taught various grades (6th, 1st, 2nd, PreKindergarten, infants, and Self-Contained Gifted) in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale School Districts. I also worked as an online curriculum developer. In 2016, I became the Assistant Principal at both Sonoran Sky and Boulder Creek Elementary school. In July 2017, I was elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Desert Trails. I am honored and excited to be a member of this community and look forward to guiding our school toward continued success.
As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors - teachers, students, and parents- are excited to be at Desert Trails! Together, we will embrace the highest level of academic excellence, while focusing on ensuring that school is a safe place to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
