If you like computer and want to see how they work and how to get them to work for you, this is your class. Students will be introduced to the creative nature of computing where they will develop programming solutions by various methods. Students will work with animated stories and video games while becoming familiar with the societal impacts of computing.
Exploring computer science level 2 is a continuation of exploring computer science level 1 where students will continue to expand their knowledge of computer science through web design, data analysis and robotics. Student will experience the creative nature of computing while learning how to use technology as a tool for solving problems. Must have taken exploring computer science level 1 or be in the engineering academy.
Students will find their natural curiosity and imagination engaged in creative problem solving through computer aided design (C.A.D.) and robotics. Students will apply the design process to solve problems and understand the influence of creativity and innovation on their lives.
Students will write, tape, edit and broadcast the daily DSMS news. Students create a daily multimedia presentation using broadcasting and editing software. Students must complete an application and an interview with our media specialist.
