After the Bell is a 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) federally funded after-school grant program currently located at seven schools, including six elementary schools and one high school.

21st CCLC grants strive to build and sustain out-of-school-time learning opportunities that provide academically enriching youth development while engaging families to be active partners in their child’s success. Each site has been awarded a 21st CCLC grant based on a competitive application process that is monitored by the Arizona Department of Education. Activities are aligned with Arizona Quality Standards for Out-of-School-Time Programs.

Academic and Enrichment Programs

Students are invited to attend the academic program based on teacher recommendation and student need. Students have a choice to participate in enrichment programs that spark their imagination. Space is limited. Snacks and transportation are provided for qualified students. Students must be enrolled at the site.
