Welding Technologies

The Welding Technologies program prepares students to acquire welding techniques and earn industry certification.
They will develop a working knowledge of blueprint reading and the welding processes for Shielded Metal ARC Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored ARC Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten ARC Welding (GTAW) with the use of thermal cutting equipment. Students will learn about the tools and equipment for the welding trade. Students develop leadership and community service skills through participation in a career technical student organization (CTSO) SkillsUSA, where they can compete locally, state, or internationally.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel.
