PPPS weekly Message January 20th

Next week is our parent teacher conference week to meet with teachers to discuss your child’s academic progress during 2nd quarter. The sign up closes this Wednesday. If you haven’t sign up for a conference yet, click here to go to the website. Just a reminder, we have a half day of school on Thursday, January 29th and Friday, January 30th for conferences.

One way that we maintain a strong school community is by showing our staff our appreciation for all they do! Please help the MPO provide dinner for our staff on the late night of conferences, 1/28. No cooking is required and a variety of store-bought foods and paper products are available to sign up for. Click here for the sign up.

Interested in the Montessori Pre-K Program at WWA? Visit on Tuesday, January 20th from 5:30-6:30pm.  Click for more details.

Do you know someone who will have a student starting kindergarten next year? Let them know about WWA! Invite them to Kindergarten Roundup where they will meet the teachers, hear about curriculum, tour the school and more. There are two dates: Tuesday, January 20th from 5:30-6:30pm or Friday, January 23rd from 9:00-10:00am. We also offer drop in tours every Friday at 2:00pm. Call 602-449-7300 with any questions.

As a Mandarin dual language immersion school, WWA is proud to celebrate Chinese culture. Mark your calendars for our annual Lunar New Year celebration on Friday, February 20th at PV High School. More information will be in the next newsletter.

PVSchools is proud to host our first-ever PVSchools Night at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM)! Families are invited to enjoy an evening of outstanding student performances featuring choirs, orchestra, and strings, followed by time to explore the museum galleries. We need you! The PTSO is looking for volunteers to help fill positions for the 2026/2027 school year. Available positions include Treasurers (Books and Bank), Communications and Social Media. Positions can be tailored towards your skills and available time. If you have the ability to be more involved in our parent group, please reach out to Christina at president@wwaptso.org

Help your student feel extra special on their birthday by putting their name on the school’s marquee sign outside! Head to wwaptso.org, fill out the birthday marquee message form and submit your $15 donation to the PTSO. All funds will go directly back to the staff and students at WWA through staff appreciation, spirit shirts and more. Submit yours now so you don’t forget, we need 3 weeks of lead time to make sure it is up on their big day!
