Wishing You a Happy Winter Break!

As winter break approaches, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your incredible support and partnership. It's been another year of remarkable achievements in our schools, and that's a direct result of the collective effort of our students, staff, families, and community members.

This year saw many student achievements, including College Board national recognitions, National Merit semifinalists, Coca-Cola Scholar semifinalists, a Promising Rising Educator award, the AIA 5A Girls Volleyball state champions, Badminton Division I Doubles State Champions, Girls Swim State Champions, a Boys Swim State Champion, an Outstanding Phoenix Youth Leader of the Year recipient, Arizona Science and Engineering Fair winners, Indoor Percussion State Champions, SkillsUSA winners, the recipient of the National Aspirations in Computing Award, Pom Division II State Champions, Medium Jazz State Champions, US Presidential Scholars, and so much more.

But, the journey of excellence doesn’t stop there. Our educators continue to inspire and amaze me with their dedication to providing a high-quality education for every student.

This year staff achieved things like the New Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year award, several National Board Certifications, an American School Counselor Association Rising Star of the Year award, the Distinguished Service Outside of the Profession Award, an Arizona Thespians Teacher of the Year award, an Arizona Cardinals Coach of the Week, the Association of School Business Officials International Eagle Award, a Computer Science Teaching Excellence award, and more.

These accomplishments, along with the everyday successes happening in our classrooms, are a testament to the strong foundation we have built together. I am immensely proud to be the superintendent of this district and to witness the incredible things our students and staff achieve each day.

I hope this winter break provides a well-deserved opportunity for rest, relaxation, and quality time with friends, family, and neighbors. May the new year bring joy, health, and continued success to you and yours.
