Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year!

Welcome back, PV families!

I’m Troy Bales, the superintendent of PVSchools, and I’m excited for you to join us in another exciting year of achievements! On behalf of our staff, we hope that each and every one of you had a great summer and are looking forward to the opportunities that this new school year will bring.

Whether in academics, athletics, or the arts, I know that our students, your children, are about to accomplish amazing things.

As the start of school approaches, I’d like to extend my thanks to our parents and guardians. Creating safe learning environments takes each and every one of us. Thank you for taking the time to learn drop-off and pick-up procedures, check-in and visitor protocols, and continuing to be involved in your school communities. For more information on our commitment to safe schools visit the school safety section of each of our school websites.

One way that families can stay involved and in the know is by utilizing our many communications tools. Making sure that your email and mobile phone number are up-to-date will help to ensure you receive important emails and text messages. You can also find out information about your school communities by visiting your school’s new website.

As we begin the new year, it’s important to remember that while no organization is perfect, success is often measured by the solutions developed to address challenges and an organization’s dedication to its community. We’re committed, and are proud to be part of a strong PV community.

Community strength is important to us and we don’t want inaccurate information to cause anxiety or stress within our schools. We live in a world with a constant flow of information, information that isn’t always accurate, making it even more important to gather information from the source. Social media has both the power to help and to hurt and we ask that our community seek out and read our timely, open, and honest communications instead of spreading false and often sensationalized claims.

If you hear or read something that sounds out of place, please contact your child’s teacher or school principal. In PV, we empower our schools and choose to solve concerns at the lowest level possible.

While mitigation protocols around the world are beginning to move closer to normal, we still want to ensure that our students remain healthy and ready to learn. Please, continue to practice good hygiene by washing your hands and staying home when ill. Maintaining a healthy learning environment, free from general infectious disease, takes everyone working together. For additional recommendations, please contact your doctor.

I can’t wait to see the steps our students continue to take this year on their journey of excellence.

Thank you for choosing PVSchools.
