Track and Field State Champions
A huge congratulations to the incredible student-athletes who demonstrated outstanding skill and determination at the recent Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Track and Field State Championships!
Pinnacle High School celebrates Isabella Cropper’s victory in the Division I girls 3200-meter race. Her hard work and dedication truly paid off!
North Canyon High School had a remarkable showing. Devyn Henderson claimed victory in three events: the 100-meters, 200-meters, and 400-meters. Rebekah-Jhade Garrett took first place in the 100-meter Hurdles, and she teamed up with Demitria Kossigbo, Tiana Becketts, and Sabriyah El-Amin to win the 4X100-meter relay. Additionally, Lanaya McCloud soared to success with a High Jump of 5 '6".
Shadow Mountain High School is also celebrating multiple wins. Kadyn Hysong showcased his versatility by winning both the 200-meters and the Pole Vault with an impressive 15'8" jump. Orlando Perry demonstrated his strength and skill by winning the Discus with a throw of 150'8".
These athletes have brought immense pride to their schools and communities. Their achievements are evidence of their hard work, dedication, and talent. Congratulations to all the champions!
