Rattlers Shine in Track & Field State Championships

UPDATE:

J'Neya Hill recently capped off her incredible season by winning the ALL-STATE 200m race at the Track and Field Open State Championships. Hill won with a time of 23:74. Her dedication to training and hard work has paid off. Congratulations to J'Neya Hill on this fantastic accomplishment! She is an inspiration to us all, and we look forward to seeing what she will do next!

The North Canyon High School Girls' Track & Field team made history recently by winning their second consecutive Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Division II State Championship. The team's hard work and dedication over the past two seasons have paid off in a significant way, with back-to-back victories. It is a remarkable accomplishment, and the entire school community is immensely proud of their achievements. This is an incredible feat that will be remembered for years to come!

Bryonna Stroughter, Lanaya McCloud, Oliviah Hussey, and J'Neya Hill set a new standard of excellence as they emerged victorious in the Girls 4X100. This quartet of incredible athletes proved their speed and showcased their teamwork and determination to achieve the highest level of success.

The state championships were unforgettable for J'Neya Hill! In addition to the 4X100 win, she emerged victorious in the 100 and 200 Meter events. J'Neya Hill has undoubtedly become a force to be reckoned with in the track & field community!

Gloriah Hussey also contributed to the North Canyon Girls team efforts with not one but two gold medal wins at the AIA Division II State Championships. In addition to being crowned champion in the Triple Jump, Gloriah also brought home first place in the Long Jump.

And not to be forgotten, Emanuel Hernandez won the AIA Boys Division II Shotput Championship. His winning throw of 53-07.00 feet ran away with the competition, stretching two feet farther than the closest competitor. It was an impressive performance by Hernandez and set a memorable milestone.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who recently won their state championship titles! PVSchools is proud to have such accomplished representatives in the district and commends these student-athletes for their exemplary effort and commitment and applauds their accomplishments. Your dedication and hard work have earned you a well-deserved spot at the top.
