PVSchools Welcomes New Governing Board Members
January is National School Board Recognition Month, and PVSchools honors all its governing board members for their dedication and service to the district. These volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education. Their leadership and commitment are vital to the success of our schools, and we are grateful for their service.
In conjunction with recognizing School Board Recognition Month, PVSchools extends a warm welcome to its newest governing board members, Dr. Amanda Lim and Jessica Wani, and welcomes back Anne Greenberg, as she continues her service on the board.
Bio | Dr. Amanda Lim
Dr. Amanda Lim is a proud graduate of PVSchools, where she attended Larkspur Elementary, Shea Middle School, and Shadow Mountain High School. She is also the parent of current and incoming PV students and has served on the site council and volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, working to enhance student opportunities and promote innovative programs.
Dr. Lim’s experiences as a PVSchools student sparked her academic journey, ultimately leading her to Arizona State University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This foundation inspired her to pursue a career in biomedical research, specializing in molecular biology, genetics, and bioethics. Her passion for learning further propelled her to complete her doctorate in bioethics at Cardiff University, where she focused on equity in biomedical research and its intersection with education and healthcare.
In addition to her role on the Governing Board, Dr. Lim serves as vice president on the board of directors for the Arizona Bioethics Network and on the advisory board for the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair, supporting STEAM outreach, student engagement, and community collaboration. Her lifelong connection to PVSchools and commitment to excellence and equity guide her work in preparing all learners for diverse career paths and lifelong learning.
Dr. Amanda Lim’s term will run through December 2028.
Bio | Jessica Wani
Jessica is the mother of two children in PVSchools and has dedicated more than a decade to volunteering at the elementary, middle, and high school level, as well as contributing at the district level. She has served on numerous district committees, school site council, and as the president of the Paradise Valley United Parent Council.
Professionally, Jessica is an attorney with a diverse legal background. Previously, while at Arizona State University, Jessica led research initiatives to assess and enhance the physical and educational conditions of K-12 schools. In recognition of her contributions, Jessica and her team received the President's Award for Innovation from Arizona State University in 2022. Currently, Jessica serves as a senior attorney specializing in family law, where she adopts a holistic approach to her mediation and legal practice.
Jessica Wani’s term will run through December 2028.
Bio | Anne Greenberg
A proud product of public schools in her native Ohio, Anne Greenberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. She is co-owner and executive vice president of Health & Medical Multimedia, a medical communications and education firm, as well as a strategic planning consultant. An advocate for public education at the local, state, and national levels, Mrs. Greenberg has served on numerous district, school, and United Parent Council committees.
Formerly a member of the state board of the Arizona Academic Decathlon Association, she has served on various committees, including as chair of the Legislative Committee, for the Arizona School Boards Association, which honored Mrs. Greenberg with an All-Arizona School Board award in 2011 and the first-ever Pillar Award for Advocacy in 2018.
Previously, she was the national president of Women in Communications, an organization for professionals in all communications disciplines. Mrs. Greenberg and her husband, Rick McGuire, have two sons who graduated from PVSchools.
