Pinnacle Boys Basketball

For a quarter of a century, the Pinnacle boys basketball team has commanded the courts displaying speed, talent and agility, and head coach Charlie Wilde has been there every step of the way. 

Since 2000, Coach Wilde has led the Pioneers through many impressive seasons, putting a “full-court press” on the opponent and teaching his players about sportsmanship. He says the most rewarding part of his job is watching his players grow and improve.

Coach Wilde, along with his wife, have spent the past 25 years building up the basketball program, mentoring the boys, and impacting the lives of so many. One thing that makes him so special is the positive relationships he builds with his players on and off the court. He is quick to give helpful advice and to act as a sounding board when the players need someone to talk to. Even more impressive, his mentorship lasts long after his players graduate! It’s not uncommon for alumni to come back to Pinnacle and volunteer their time to coach and help build the basketball program.  

In celebration of their 25th anniversary and their dedicated coach, the Pioneers welcomed current and former players to attend Pinnacle’s game against Millennium earlier this month. During half-time, the crowd celebrated the players, creating an air of nostalgia and making it an unforgettable night.
