Multiple Attendance Notifications Sent on August 5th

Multiple Attendance Notifications Sent on August 5th

As a result of a technical issue within the automated attendance notifications system, this morning some parents and guardians received multiple notifications that their child was absent from school. As soon as this issue was identified, PVSchools began working with Finalsite (the mass messaging and website vendor) to identify the problem and work to correct it.

This message was sent to families that had a student listed as absent. If parents and guardians did not receive the message, their student was not listed as absent.

As Finalsite works to correct the technical issue that led to today's multiple notifications, the following message from Finalsite was provided to the PVSchools community.

Dear Paradise Valley Unified School District Community,

We recently experienced a technical issue that resulted in multiple copies of attendance notifications being sent out. We understand the inconvenience and confusion this may have caused.

We want to inform you that this issue appears to originate on our end and not the responsibility of the school district. Our team is actively working to resolve this problem and prevent it from happening again in the future.

We sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused and appreciate your understanding as we address the issue.

Sincerely,
Josh Fulton
