Horizon High School Track Stars Shine

Horizon High School student-athletes Mitchell Weber and Averie Cowden showcased their incredible talent and determination at the AIA Division II State Track and Field Championship, bringing home two much-deserved gold medals. Mitchell emerged as the DII Pole Vault State Champion, demonstrating outstanding skill and perseverance as he cleared 14 ft-6 inches. Averie Cowden took first place in the girls' Triple Jump, outpacing her competitors, reaching a remarkable 39 feet-3 inches.

Both athletes have worked tirelessly, showing dedication to their training and sportsmanship throughout the season. Their achievements not only highlight their personal commitment but also reflect the strong support system provided by their coaches and teammates.
