Gifted Gives Back

Gifted Gives Back

The PVSchools Gifted Department has started a new tradition that aims to continue to instill the values of community service and giving back. Each semester, teachers in the department select a community project to participate in. During the first semester, teachers had the privilege of packing boxes at St. Mary's Food Bank and recently participated in an evening of making food packs at Feed My Starving Children.

The teachers got to understand first-hand the inner workings of a food bank and the importance of donating food items to feed the less fortunate. Participation in both projects was an opportunity to positively impact the local community. As educators, they recognize the importance of nurturing values such as empathy, altruism, and civic-mindedness.

This new tradition is certainly one way to contribute to the community, instill values, lead by example, and provide opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference in the world.

PVSchools strongly believes these small initiatives can make a significant difference and encourage teachers and students to always be on the lookout for ways to positively impact the world.
