Celebrating Big Wins at Whispering Wind

Celebrating Big Wins at Whispering Wind

Earlier this month, Whispering Wind Academy students showcased their Mandarin skills at the Southern California Chinese Bridge Competition. In the Grades 2–3 division, Laurelin Benefiel took home 1st place, while Quinn Sidoff followed in 2nd place. The success continued in the Grades 4–6 division with Samantha Anderson earning 1st place, Kiara Shah in 2nd, and Addilyn Lim in 3rd. Many others, including Donovan Beebe-Caramanna, Garrett Robinett, Jaxon Keane, and Kian Shah, were recognized with Honorable Mentions.

The journey didn't end there for Samantha Anderson and Kiara Shah, who advanced to the Southwest Regional Chinese Bridge Competition in Los Angeles on May 9. After a morning meeting the Chinese Ambassador and enjoying cultural activities, they competed against the best from five states. Samantha achieved a remarkable 3rd place finish, nearly advancing to the world stage in China, while Kiara earned an Honorable Mention. Their incredible dedication made WWA one of the top performers in the region; PVSchools couldn't be prouder of their achievements!
