A Round of Applause for Pinnacle Thespians

A Round of Applause for Pinnacle Thespians

“The theatre was created to tell people the truth about life and the social situation.”

 —Stella Adler

From monologues to musicals, duets to design, Pinnacle High School’s Theatre Company does a phenomenal job telling the story of human experience and spotlighting the truths about everyday life. Needless to say, this group is a force to be reckoned with.

Earlier this month, Thespian Troupe 6565 dominated the Northern Arizona Festival of Theatre, where twenty of the twenty-three Pinnacle thespians qualified to attend the International Thespian Festival at Indiana University this summer … to all of the students who qualified for this prestigious event, break a leg!

Ranging in age and aptitude, the following students deserve a standing ovation from PVSchools:

Josephine Bradley (Superior in Group Musical); Sareena Gupta (Superior in Group Musical & Monologues); Skylar Else (Superior in Group Musical & Solo Musical); Ariel Yanofsky (Superior in Lighting Design); Lilly McGever (Superior in Monologues); Marco Johnson (Superior in Duet Musical Theatre & Group Acting); Lexi Shaw (Superior in Duet Musical Theatre & Group Acting); Caitlin Smitherman (Superior in Group Acting); Esme Nichols (Superior in Group Acting); Gabi Gonzalez (Superior in Group Acting); Kennedy Molenaar (Superior in Group Acting); Annelise Ybarra (Superior in Group Acting); Hayden Wasnesky (Superior in Monologues); Gianna Arrighi (Superior in Solo Musical Theatre); Emily Dunn (Superior in Solo Musical Theatre); Ava Hoelzen (Superior in Solo Musical Theatre); Colter Smitherman (Superior in Duet Acting & Monologues); Krystian Ziolkowski (Superior in Duet Acting); Lauren Lipsky (Superior in Duet Acting); Jay Toolis (Superior in Duet Acting).

Pinnacle’s theatre department provides a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment where students can develop their craft and hone their self-expression skills. With active involvement in the International Thespian Association, students who are a part of the PHS theatre company are given opportunities that prepare them for university-level theatre and the art community.
