2024 School Letter Grades
The new school letter grades are out, and PVSchools is celebrating the achievement of both students and staff, whose hard work led to improvements in many areas.
In total, 21 schools in Paradise earned an “A” grade this year, with 17 of those schools maintaining their “A” from last year. PVSchools had five sites that showed improvement, and no schools scored a D or an F.
These letter grades reflect the dedication and determination of students and staff, as well as the encouragement and support from families. Each school remains committed to the district values outlined in the strategic plan, with three of those values— innovation, collaboration, and growth — greatly contributing to these impressive outcomes.
"The success of our students is a testament to the incredible partnership between our dedicated staff, involved parents and guardians, and our hardworking students. While school letter grades offer a glimpse into this success, they don't fully capture the vibrant learning environment and commitment to growth found here in Paradise. This is truly a special district with a pathway for every passion, supporting all learners," said Dr. Jason Reynolds, interim superintendent of PVSchools.
School letter grades are largely based on standardized assessments providing just one measure of student achievement. Letter grades include scores with different weights for K-8 schools, high schools, and alternative schools that include growth, proficiency, English Learner (EL), and acceleration or readiness. High schools are also scored on College Career Readiness Indicators (CCRI) and graduation rates.
