North Ranch Word Master Team Receives Highest Honors

North Ranch Word Master Team Receives Highest Honors

Congratulations to our students who represented North Ranch Elementary in the WordMasters Challenge™.

These students achieved Highest Honors in the recent WordMasters Challenge™—a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 125,000 students annually. The sixth-grade team scored an impressive 188 points out of a possible 200 in the first of three meets this year, placing eighth in the nation.

Competing in the very difficult Gold Division of the WordMasters Challenge™, fourth grader Raksha Mayilvahanan and sixth graders Ben Demeo, Luciana Paul, and Benny Taylor each earned a perfect score of 20 on the challenge. Nationally, only 22 fourth graders and 54 sixth graders achieved this result. Other students from North Ranch Elementary who achieved outstanding results in the meet include fourth grader Dominic Migliaccio and sixth graders Kai Herrman and Sarah Jordan. The students were coached in preparation for the WordMasters Challenge™ by staff members Addison Palmer (3rd/4th grade) and Bobbi Ackerman (5th/6th grade).

PVschools is proud of the students who participated and gained further knowledge and skills through this challenge.
