District Leadership
Jean Koeppen
Jean Koeppen is the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet.
She oversees curriculum development for the district, including the departments of assessment, fine arts, information technology, gifted, federal programs, language acquisition, professional development, and special education.
Before being named an Assistant Superintendent for PVSchools, Jean served for five years in the role of Director of Assessment for the District. Jean also served as Director of Continuous Improvement for Deer Valley Unified School District, Manager of Administrative Leadership and Services, a K-6 principal, and a K-8 assistant principal, a federal programs manager, an ESL curriculum specialist, and an elementary teacher.
Jean earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from ASU and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University. Additionally, she holds certificate endorsements in Early Childhood and English as a Second Language.
