Wednesday , January 15 , 2020

Are you interested in volunteering and tutoring students, but not sure where to start? The final Volunteer In Paradise (VIP) orientation for the 2019-20 school year will be held on Thursday, February 6th from 9-11 a.m. at the PVSchools Community Resource Center (get directions).

Register to attend the event today!

VIP tutors provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with the goal of increasing their achievement. Attend the next VIP orientation with a friend to find out whether the award-winning VIP program is the right opportunity for you.

As a VIP, you’ll be positively impacted by:

  • knowing you are giving a child hope;
  • having a sense of purpose;
  • helping a teacher be more effective;
  • being part of a nurturing community; and
  • becoming an active supporter of public education in Arizona.

Established in 2013, VIPs tutor students who need extra academic support, and in turn, help increase student academic achievement. The VIP program matches dedicated qualified volunteer tutors with students at participating schools. Volunteer tutors work with students in either a one-on-one setting or in small groups with the goal of increasing student achievement for students in kindergarten through sixth-grade.
