"They Say My Child Is Gifted…Now What?: Gifted Programming in PVSchools"

Join Gifted Ed. Director, Dr. Brulles, as she provides an overview of the continuum of gifted services available in PV schools, Preschool through High School, and discusses the differences between public, charter and private school offerings for gifted students. Parents will gain insights into various program models to determine which services best fit their children’s distinctive needs. Dr. Brulles will also discuss how the various programs support the social/emotional and academic needs of gifted learners.

About the Speaker:

Dina Brulles, Ph.D., is the PVSchools Director of Gifted Education where she has developed a continuum of gifted education programs, preschool through high school. She is also the Gifted Program Coordinator at ASU. Dina serves on the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) Board of Directors as the School District Representative. Dina was a co-recipient of the 2014 NAGC Gifted Coordinator Award and also NAGC Professional Development Network Award in 2013. Dina co-authored the books: A Teacher’s Guide to Flexible Grouping and Collaborative LearningDesigning Gifted Education Programs: From Purpose to Implementation, Differentiated Lessons for All Learners; The Cluster Grouping Handbook; Teaching Gifted Kids in Today’s Classrooms; and Helping All Gifted Children Learn.
