Conexión Familiar Spring 2026 is a strategic, cross-departmental outreach initiative designed to empower families with the essential tools and knowledge required to advocate for their children’s educational success.
Adopting a rotating "roadshow" model to maximize equitable access across the district, the initiative unifies resources from Marketing, Federal Programs (Title III), and the Family Resource Center to deliver a standardized, and competent curriculum. Ultimately, this initiative seeks to transform family engagement from passive observation to active partnership by connecting parents directly with district support systems and adult education opportunities.

Event information:
- February 19, 5:00 p.m. at Paradise Valley High School
- March 26, 5:00 p.m. at Shea Middle School
- April 28, 9:00 a.m. at Greenway Middle School
The presentation will be about an hour and a half. This will include a Q&A for parents. This is the perfect opportunity for parents to network with district staff members and connect with other parents.
Coffee, pan dulce and childcare will be provided

Staff will spend time guiding parents through:
- Understanding Attendance Laws (CUTS): Every day counts in Paradise. Learn the "why" behind attendance and understand how missing 18 days (10% of the year) is considered excessive and can impact students academic future. We will help parents prioritize attendance when their student is healthy.
- Academic Support & Navigation: Learn to navigate the U.S. school system, including report cards, GPA, and how to advocate in regards to homework help, academic tiers, and summer school prevention.
- Engaging with Technology: Get hands-on help logging into Infinite Campus to check grades and utilize ParentSquare for essential school communication, overcoming language barriers and "information overload."
- Utilizing Essential Resources: Find out about the Family Resource Center (for food and clothing assistance) and how to enroll in free, high-quality programs like "After the Bell" (21st CCLC) for tutoring and STEM enrichment.
PVSchools hope to create a welcoming school environment through responsive practices that will empower limited English proficient parents by offering workshops in Spanish designed to help them understand the U.S. school system and their rights. Conexión Familiar Spring 2026 will strengthen the partnership between the school and Hispanic/Latino families.
