Where after school is an innovative playground.
Teaching students to CONNECT!
CONTRIBUTE! and CREATE!

Our Mission

Before school begins, when school is out for the summer, after the school day ends; we equip Arizona students to realize their potential.

Our Vision

21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Grants strive to build and sustain out of school time learning opportunities that provide academically enriching youth development, while engaging families to be active partners in their child’s success. The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Title IV-B program is funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).

21st CCLC is a collaboration with PVSchools Community Education and various community partnerships. Our department is committed to offering high quality extended day learning opportunities for students and their families.

ATB Locations

After the Bell - 21st Century Community Learning Center programs are currently available in eight Paradise Valley Unified School District elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. To participate, your student must be enrolled with the school.

Each site has been awarded a 21st CCLC grant based on a competitive application process that is monitored by ADE. The grant is a five-year cycle of funding that is used for academic, enrichment, youth development, professional development and family engagement offerings outside of regular school day hours.
