School Repurposing Boundary Changes

At the April 19, 2018 governing board meeting, our governing board members unanimously approved the repurposing of two schools, Aire Libre and Arrowhead elementary schools, consolidating them into neighboring elementary schools. The reasons for the repurposing are many. Aging population, declining enrollment, low birth rates and increased competition – along with under-utilization of facilities in the two sites – mean it is not fiscally prudent to maintain these school sites in their current capacity.

In 2019-20, Campo Bello Elementary, Indian Bend Elementary and Whispering Wind Academy will take on new boundaries, which you can see in the following map.
