    Hello Wildfire Family,

I am honored to be joining the Wildfire Community and am anxious to get started! I would like to share with you a little bit about my background and what brought me to Wildfire. I began my career in education 13 years ago in the Peoria Unified School District where I taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. During that time I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University (GO JACKS!). I came to the Paradise Valley Unified School District four years ago when Fireside opened and began teaching Kindergarten, followed by first grade. During my time in PV I completed the AIM program and then moved into the role of the Assistant Principal at Fireside two years ago.

I live in the Desert Ridge area with my husband, two daughters, and our English Bulldog. I grew up in Flagstaff, AZ and love to spend time up there in the summer and fall. During my free time, I enjoy shopping, home decor, outdoor activities, and spending time with my family. I am a diehard sports fan and love keeping up on the latest sports news.

As a teacher leader, I had the opportunity to utilize my leadership talents in supporting teachers both new and tenured with instructional strategies, classroom management and curriculum implementation. My leadership style is one in which fosters involvement of all stakeholders through enhanced interpersonal relationships by offering encouragement, being visible, inspiring and modeling positive behavior and professionalism and team-building. I enjoy working with teachers and support staff researching effective lesson designs, utilizing effective instructional strategies and finding ways to support student achievement. I have a passion for honoring student achievement and am so excited to meet all of you and learn about all of the wonderful things happening at Wildfire!

Have a terrific rest of the summer! See you all in August!
