  • Dear Eagle Ridge Community,

I’d like to share a little bit about myself. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and a minor in Special Education. I started Chapman University in 1998 where I earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. During my teaching career, I have taught both in California and Arizona. I have taught Kindergarten through Fourth grade in the regular classroom and Kindergarten through Sixth grade through Structured English Immersion programs. I was in an Assistant Principal role for two years before I became the Principal of Eagle Ridge Elementary School. I am thankful for the experiences I gained. I am honored to be the leader of such an amazing school!

    Respectfully,
    Allison Barbor

I like this quote because we as educators have the responsibility to educate the “whole” child.  That means we need to address the educational mind of our students but also we have to teach our students how to be a compassionate human being.
  • Principal’s Message

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed the break. I am thrilled to announce that we had three staff members last month that were nominated by their peers for going above and beyond. They were surprised at a staff meeting with a monetary award that was generously donated by Nova Home Loans. Their families were also able to be in attendance. Congratulations to Mrs. Flanery, Ms. Hewett, and Mrs. Karraker on this acknowledgement. December is going to be a busy month here at Eagle Ridge! We have holiday performances presented by our chorus, strings, and band as well as an amazing Story Night put on by our PTSA.  I hope all of you have a restful winter break and I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in 2017.
