White House Dinner

    May 10, 2019

Dinner at the White House in 1942 is our big event in May! The Roosevelt’s host the Churchill’s one month after the attack on Pearl Harbor in the East Ballroom. This formal dinner involves all students learning the history between WWI and WWII, researching an ancestor that was involved in WWII, and portraying them at the formal dinner hosted by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to celebrate the alliance between the U.S. and Great Britain. Students dress to impress, learn the etiquette involved for a formal dinner, and end the day by dancing to big band music from the 1940’s.
