K-12 Science Curriculum Resource Adoption Committee

PVSchools seeks to adopt a comprehensive Tier 1 science curriculum for K-12 grades, considering varied resources and possible supplemental curriculum to tailor content to each grade band's specific needs, including the Arizona Science Standards. 

The adoption committee will review the K-12 Science curriculum for specific criteria including teaching of standards, explicit instruction, scope and sequence, and evidence of effectiveness.  Additional criteria to be examined are assessments, variety of resources, materials available for differentiation, and ease of use.

60 Day Community Review

We have officially begun our 60 Day Review for the K–12 Science Curriculum Adoption; the 60 Day Review runs from September 23, 2025 - December 18, 2025.

During this time, families, staff, and community members are invited to review the proposed curriculum options and provide feedback to guide the final selection.

Physical copies of the proposed materials are available in the District Office lobby for anyone who prefers to review them in person. Flyers with QR codes in English and Spanish have also been placed in school lobbies to give families easy access to the review materials and feedback forms.
