PVSchools is currently reviewing curriculum materials for English Language Arts (ELA) grades 7-12.

StudySync is a curriculum resource that is being used in PVSchools to support student success. The current committee will decide whether to extend the current StudySync adoption or explore other curriculum options.

Community Review
The 7-12 ELA Adoption Committee, composed of teachers, administrators, and parents, met on March 31, 2022, to determine whether to renew the current StudySync adoption or adopt a new 7-12 ELA curriculum resource. The committee reached consensus to seek community review to extend our current StudySync adoption for five to seven more years. This decision was based on the following factors:

StudySync received top ratings on EdReports for all grade levels.

Our GVC (guaranteed and valued curriculum) map and curriculum materials were updated and aligned with StudySync in 2021.

A teacher survey was given in fall of 2021, and 85.5 percent of teachers voted to extend the StudySync adoption for five to seven more years.
Curriculum materials will be posted for community review from April 5 to July 12, 2022. The digital curriculum is linked below, and a limited selection of hard copy materials will be available in the District Administration Center lobby (get directions to the District Administration Center).
