The Special Education Team is committed to educating students ages 3 through 22 with identified educational disabilities. Individualized services are designed to meet each student’s unique needs within the least restrictive environment.

Preschool

K-12 Programs

Program Name	Main Focus
Resource	Students are able to make progress within the general education classroom or resource room setting with the support of specially designed instruction. This level of support is available on all district K-12 campuses.
Learning for Academic Success (LAS)	Intensive academic support
Communication Development (CD)	Speech, language, and social skills. Academic support is also provided, if needed.
Connections	Social, emotional, and behavior
Roadrunner - Separate Facility EDP	Intensive social, emotional, and behavioral support
Learning For Independence (LFI) - Level 1	Cognitive, adaptive, and modified academic and life skills
Learning For Independence (LFI) - Level 2/3	Cognitive, adaptive, and functional academic and life skills with medical supports
Structured 1	Structured teaching strategies to support academic, social, and communicative growth
Structured 2	Structured teaching strategies to support all developmental areas and functional life skills

Post-Secondary and Transition Services

Twice Exceptional	Support for co-existing areas of giftedness and disabilities
Pathways	Post-secondary independent living skills

Transition services are part of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for students 16 and above. These services are embedded into the IEP and enable each student to meet post-secondary goals. Learn more about transition resources at the ADE Secondary Transition site.
