Coming Soon! Elementary School #33 (in Sky Crossing Area)
Opening in August 2021, Elementary School #33 is slated to be an energy efficient and environmentally friendly new neighborhood school, approximately 88,500 gross square feet in size for 750 students.
Located near Cave Creek Road and Deer Valley Drive, the new school will be the 33rd elementary school for PVSchools.
As a result of population growth, PVSchools needed a new elementary school in the Sky Crossing area of North Phoenix. Understanding this need, Cave Butte Development Partners graciously donated 11.49 acres of land in the Sky Crossing Development in order for the new elementary school to be built.
Name and Mascot of the New School
After receiving community input, the #33 Pride Committee has decided on a name and mascot for the new school. The school colors are still being deliberated. Please note the school name, mascot, and colors will be subject to PVSchools Governing Board approval.
Mr. Chad Caudle Named New School Principal
The Governing Board of PVSchools voted to appoint Mr. Chad Caudle as the new principal of Elementary School #33 commencing with the 2021-22 school year.
Caudle has been the principal at Desert Shadows Elementary School since the 2015-16 school year. Throughout that time, he has worked with his school community to establish a positive and safe environment for students. Caudle will begin assuming some initial responsibilities at Elementary #33 during the 2020-21 school year, while remaining committed to the success of Desert Shadows Elementary and ensuring a safe and smooth transition back to in-person learning.
On Nov. 18, 2020, Mr. Caudle held a socially distanced "Meet the Principal" event at Pinnacle High School. A recording of the event is available here:
