Career and Technical Student Organizations

What is a CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization)?
    • Any student enrolled in a CTE program is eligible for membership in the Career and Technical Student Association (CTSO) associated with that program.
    • CTSOs develop leadership, teamwork, technical and citizenship skills which are essential for the workplace and further education.
    • CTSOs provide opportunities for developing social competencies.
    • CTSOs provide a unique instructional method for attaining the technical skills and objectives identified in each program. Their activities are considered a part of the instructional day, and, as such, are co-curricular, not extra-curricular.
    • A career and technical student organization (CTSO) is an integral part of each program.
