Mr. Norm Pratt
Norm Pratt is an artist whose work takes on multiple forms. He is an active professional musician, songwriter, recording engineer and producer, as well as a professional artist, whose work includes graphic design and printmaking. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking, a Post Baccalaureate in Visual Arts and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, all from Arizona State University. Serving in public education for over 29 years, all in the Paradise Valley Unified School District, Norm has been a Visual Arts Teacher, Assistant Principal and most recently Principal of Grayhawk Elementary School. He represents the school district in a unique partnership with the Kennedy Center. This partnership focuses on improving the educational experience for students by training teachers in the practice of arts integration, an approach to teaching in which the arts leverage learning in other subject areas such as science, language arts, mathematics and social studies.
Norm also oversees and implements special programming in the district, such as the Suzuki Violin program at Desert Shadows Elementary School and the North Valley Arts Academy at PVSchools. The NVAA offers students a rigorous academic program coupled with a concentrated emphasis on performing and visual arts, which includes multiple entry points for interested students from grades 5th-12th.
Ms. Diane Roller
Diane Roller serves as the Fine Arts Education Administrative Assistant. Her primary responsibilities include implementing the procedures and processes necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of the Fine Arts Department.
