School Accountability & Test Results

  • School Accountability Ratings

Prior to the 2015 introduction of AzMERIT, Arizona schools received accountability ratings that used AIMS results, graduation rates, dropout rates, and ELL reclassification rates. During the first two years of AzMERIT in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, accountability ratings were suspended while a new system is developed.

    AzMERIT Test Results

Arizona’s Measurement of Educational Readiness to Inform Teaching (AzMERIT) is the statewide achievement test for Arizona students. Students in grades 3 through 12 who took the test in the spring will receive their AzMERIT score reports during the first two week of school in the fall. These comprehensive reports will provide detailed information about how your child performed on both the English Language Arts and math portions of the AzMERIT tests. The Reading portion of AzMERIT is used to identify Move On When Reading (MOWR) criteria for 3rd grade students.

    AIMS Science Test Results

Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) is a state standards-based assessment that measures student proficiency of the Arizona Academic Content Standard in science. Students in grades 4, 8, 9 and 10 who took the test in the spring will receive their AIMS Science score report during the first two weeks of school in the fall.
