Dear Parents,
The Paradise Valley Unified School District
has been actively developing a plan to meet more
fully the needs of our English Language Learners.
In collaboration with the Office of Civil Rights, we
will ensure through the implementation of this plan,
that our students are receiving the highest quality
education possible. It is our goal to support the total
development of the English Language Learners with our
efforts directed toward improving their personal and
academic success. We will continue to strive to provide
a high quality, accessible, equitable, relevant and
accountable education in all of our schools. To this
end, we aim for each student to become proficient in
English so that he or she may achieve the expected
learning outcomes of the District’s
curriculum.
During this new school year, we will be fully
implementing this plan. We look forward to working
in partnership with you in the education of your child.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado Paradise Valley ha estado
desarrollando un plan para mejor satisfacer las necesidades
de nuestros alumnos aprendices de inglés
(ELL por sus siglas en inglés). En colaboración con
la Oficina de Derechos Civiles (Office for Civil Rights) y mediante
la implementación de este plan, aseguraremos que nuestros alumnos reciban
una educación de la mejor calidad posible. Nuestros esfuerzos para mejorar
el éxito personal y académico
de nuestros alumnos ELL permitirán que logremos apoyar
su desarrollo completo. Continuaremos trabajando para proporcionar una educación
accesible, equitativa, apropiada, formal y de alta calidad en cada una de nuestras
escuelas. Con este fin, nos proponemos lograr que cada estudiante obtenga dominio
del idioma inglés para poder satisfacer las expectativas de aprendizaje
correspondientes al currículo del Distrito. Pondremos en práctica
este plan durante este nuevo año lectivo.
