Dear Sandpiper Families,
I cannot believe that May is here! We have had a very busy year! It has been thrilling to watch your children grow and learn over the past 9 months. As we head into the stretch, please continue to encourage your children to work hard and stay focused. Our highly qualified staff will spend this last month making sure that their students are prepared for success in the upcoming year. Of course, we have planned numerous learning activities that will be hands-on and experiential in nature, including those that explore the ocean and culminate on MARE night on Friday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. I hope that you will all plan on attending this outstanding event!
This month we will say good-bye to our wonderful 6th graders! It has been such a pleasure working with them and getting to know them this year. We plan to enjoy them to the fullest for the remainder of this year, and send them off with pride and joy as they move into the next chapter of their lives. Remember the tears you shed the day that you sent them off to Kindergarten??? Well, get your kleenex ready as you say good-bye to elementary school!
I hope that you have had a chance to swing by and take a look at the progress on our new building! We have a tight schedule and will be working all summer preparing to equip that building for our 5th and 6th graders. I anticipate that we will need help with moving furniture and boxes starting around July 27th. If you are available, and would LOVE to move things in 115 degree heat, we would LOVE and APPRECIATE any help you could offer! We will be taking names and contact information for the rest of this month so please let us know if you are able to help!
